DIY: Fall Crafts

Hi, Daisies!

This week I wanted to talk about 7 cool DIY fall crafts that are perfect for decor in your home!

You can find the directions on my Pinterest board called DIY Crafts for September. So let's get right into it.

Most materials for these crafts you can get at a dollar tree so you can avoid spending a lot of money on these projects. These crafts can be fun to put on a movie and do it with your kids or grandkids. Or you can pour some wine and have a drinking and craft night with the girls. Either way, these crafts are fun, and perfect for your home fall decor

These home decor items are one of my favorite home decors for the fall. Cinnamon is the true scent of fall and I think that even though bland looking, with the right vase or basket, pinecones can really spruce up a room.

For this craft, you can do this with craft ones or any you find outside. But keep in mind that the "fresh" or real ones are gonna take a little longer to complete. There are two methods for this craft and one takes 4 weeks while the other only takes about an hour. One uses essential oil and the other uses ground cinnamon, so whichever version of cinnamon you decide to use is ultimately up to you.

You can get all the materials at a dollar store and they can and embellishing this you can have free roam to be as creative as you want. Plus using plastic flowers is a plus so you can keep reusing this wreath for a long time! You don't have to turn this into the shape of a pumpkin, you can also create a normal wreath with other flowers too, don't hesitate to unleash your creativity with this project.

This is the one craft that is fun to do with the kids, and you can get everything right at the dollar store or a dollar general. This is super fun and you can make them realistic looking, or make them look like jack-o-lanterns. This is super easy to do, and all you need is a wine glass, 3 paint colors, and some embellishments.

The Mason Jar, you just need paint, a jar, and some other embellishments if you want. I think both these crafts are super fun and push you to be a little creative. There are so many different designs you can do, like a witch or scarecrow or a ghost.

This is another craft that can be super fun and will allow you to be creative. Buy one of the pumpkin signs at the dollar store and some paint and get crackin'. You can paint it a orange pumpkin, yellow, white or even black. you can add some ribbon and leaves to the stem, and right on the pumpkin write out a nice quote to show off on the pumpkin.

Head on over to the dollar store again, or the craft store, and buy a plastic pumpkin, a styrofoam block, some plastic flowers, and ribbon. If you are doing this craft with your kids you might want to be the one to cut off the top of the pumpkin, just to be safe. You can find an array of flowers at the store to use in this vase, and luckily they won't die so you can change it out from something fall in September, to a Halloween theme in October, to thanksgiving in November. Even better the plastic flowers and foam can all come right from the dollar store, and won't wilt or die!

So this project can become a little tedious, but it does come out super cute. With this, each plastic leaf needs to be cut, and then modge podged on one at a time. The pattern doesn't specify that you need a candle but you can either use the electronic ones or a real one. you can also put a picture or something over the leaves to modge podge over it. This is another project where you can keep it simple, or be as creative as you want to be.

I hope you enjoyed some of these crafts, and you complete it head on over and share your decor on our Facebook page. Or if you have any fall craft favorites share them on our Facebook page. So go have fun crafting and decorating with these fall crafts.

xoxo Backwoods Daisy
